Quite an appealing move.

Effect

Generations IV-VII

Dark Pulse inflicts damage and has a 20% chance of causing the target to flinch and can hit non-adjacent opponents in Triple Battles.

Dark Pulse's power is increased by 50% when used by a Pokémon with the Ability Mega Launcher.

Generation VIII

In Pokémon Sword and Shield, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Dark Pulse retains its effects from earlier generations.

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Dark Pulse's PP was lowered from 15 to 10, and the move can no longer cause flinching. Instead, it bypasses accuracy and evasion checks to always hit, unless the target is in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move such as Fly or Dig.
