Brendan (Masters)

Brendan (Japanese: ユウキ Yūki) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series. He forms a sync pair with Treecko, and its evolved forms Grovyle and Sceptile. The sync pair can be obtained through the sync pair scout. The pair's potential can be upgraded to 6★ EX from December 7, 2020, which unlocks Brendan's EX Style.

Description His goal is to be like his dad, Norman—a Gym Leader he really looks up to. He is a bit mischievous, but he is serious about Pokémon battles.

Treecko can evolve into Grovyle once it has reached level 30 through its Sync Pair Story Treecko's Evolution, and then into Sceptile once it has reached level 45 through its Sync Pair Story Grovyle's Evolution.

Trivia

  • As noted in the character description, Brendan is based on the player character in Hoenn games, with his father being Norman. In addition, Brendan mentions in his Sync Pair Story that he has already beaten his father.

Origin

Brendan's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Treecko is one of the starter Pokémon of Hoenn in the core series games. In addition, animated short series such as Pokémon Generations and the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Animated Trailer depict Brendan with Sceptile as his starter Pokémon. Treecko, Grovyle, and Sceptile's Dex entries come from Pokémon Ruby and Omega Ruby.
