Sky Ruler GX Starter Deck (TTCG)

Much like the First Impact set, a GX Starter Deck with random elements accompanied the Sky Ruler expansion in Thailand, the two previous expansions having featured a pair of fixed decks. The later Indonesian release was also complemented by a GX Starter Deck, but comprised a different collection of cards.

The deck itself can be broken down into three main groups: the first and second group contain a number of Pokémon often of a single type, quantities of supporting basic Energy cards, and sometimes Trainer cards. The first group contains 18 cards, 1 of which is always a Pokémon-GX, while the second contains 16 cards. There are 18 possible varieties of the first group and 7 of the second—a deck can include any combination of the two, though the cards within each variety is always the same. The third group contains a random selection of 26 cards sourced from a pool of Trainer and Special Energy cards. This selection will always include multiples of some cards.

Most cards from this deck are sourced from the Hidden Shadow and Sky Ruler expansions but differ by lacking rarity symbols and Holofoil treatments. The cards also have their own collection number and symbol. Each deck comes with a rulesheet and a cardboard sheet containing damage counters, status markers, and a GX marker.

This Sky Ruler Random GX Starter Deck is exclusively released in Thai, and lacked any Reverse Holos. There is also a different Indonesian exclusive Sky Ruler Random GX Starter Deck.
