Biology
Skwovet is a squirrel-like Pokémon. It is grayish-brown in color, with a large fluffy tail, which is dark-grayish-brown at the top. Skwovet has a light-grayish-brown underbelly, and the color extends to its mouth and parts of its cheeks. Its cheeks are normally stuffed with berries. It has two orange freckles underneath each eye and an orange nose. Its ears are similar in color to its tail, and they have orange insides.
Using its special cheeks, Skwovet can stuff a tremendous amount of food and can stretch to many times its normal volume. It normally fills its cheeks with berries, but if it is feeling full, it can temporarily keep the extra food in its tail fur. Skwovet's habit of eating berries nonstop has made it more resilient than it appears. If its cheeks are ever completely empty of berries, it becomes very uneasy. Skwovet will appear on farms, looking for more berries to eat. When they are not eating berries, they spit out the seeds in the rich soil in order to cultivate berry trees. It has a habit of hiding and adding to its food storage.
Skwovet and its evolved form Greedent are the only known Pokémon capable of using the move Stuff Cheeks.

Name origin
Skwovet may be a combination of squirrel and covet.
Hoshigarisu may be a combination of 欲しがる hoshigaru (to desire) and 栗鼠 risu (squirrel).
