Set 4 (Ga-Olé)

The fourth set continues to feature Generation VII and Alolan variant Pokémon, with particular focus on the Legendary Prism Pokémon Necrozma and the Synthetic Pokémon Silvally, both of which are Grade 5 disks available on the launch courses. Different type variants of Silvally were available on later courses, as was another Grade 5 version of the Legendary Land Spirit Pokémon Tapu Koko, this time with access to a Z-Move.

For the first time in Pokémon Ga-Olé, not all of the Pokémon that comprise this set could be encountered on the courses initially available to players, requiring them to evolve or upgrade some Pokémon to complete their collection. One of these was Lycanroc, which could be obtained in both its Midday and Midnight Forms. To this end, two identical versions of Rockruff were available, featuring either a sun or moon symbol. Those with the sun symbol would evolve into Midday Form Lycanroc, whereas those with the moon symbol would evolve into Midnight Form Lycanroc, mimicking the evolution method in Pokémon Sun and Moon. Players could then upgrade the two forms of Lycanroc up to Grade 4, each with access to a Z-Move. The other Pokémon was the Normal-type version of Silvally, which could only be obtained by upgrading a Grade 3 Type: Null and evolving it.

The way in which Support Pokémon can aid players changed with the release of this set. Instead of building up the chance to summon one, Support Pokémon will randomly launch a Surprise Attack (Japanese: サプライズアタック) just after an opponent Pokémon has launched its own attack, nullifying any damage it may have inflicted, and instead dealing damage to the opponent Pokémon. If a player is not able to use any more Pokémon during a round, a Support Pokémon will be summoned for an Extra Attack (Japanese: エクストラアタック), potentially turning the battle in favor of the player. In both cases, the Support Pokémon summoned is randomly selected from the player's current roster. Players can still press the console buttons in effort to raise their Fighting Spirit while a Support Pokémon executes its move.

If a player captures any Pokémon during Get by Battle mode, Get Now mode, or the Last Chance! phase, Trade Chance! (Japanese: こうかんチャンス！), another new feature debuting in this set, will randomly become available to a player following the capture. A pink icon will appear on the "dispense" option if the player can activate Trade Chance!. If selected, Mister Trade (Japanese: こうかんおじさん) will appear and present the player with a random Pokémon from the same set to trade. The player can select either the offered Pokémon or the one captured originally using the Poké Ball lever, followed by one of the console buttons to confirm their choice. Players with Ga-Olé Passes may be offered more favorable recommendations to complete their collection.

The Ga-Olé Pass Bonus (Japanese: ガオーレパスボーナス), a feature added in the previous set, was expanded in this set to give players with Ga-Olé Passes an extra Master Ball on the Poké Ball roulette during the Get Time! phase.

Five new Pokémon Trainers were available to battle in Trainer and Battle mode, including 2 new Trainer classes and a new Battle Leader. Lapras and Vikavolt were also added as Support Pokémon available to purchase in-game from this set.
