Luster Purge (move)
Luster Purge (Japanese: ラスターパージ Luster Purge) is a damage-dealing Psychic-type move introduced in Generation III. It is the signature move of Latios.

Generations III to VII
Luster Purge inflicts damage and has a 50% chance of lowering the target's Special Defense.
Luster Purge can be used as part of a Pokémon Contest combination, with the user gaining extra two appeal points if Calm Mind was used in the prior turn.
Generation VIII
In Versions 1.0 to 1.2.1 of Pokémon Sword and Shield, Luster Purge could not be selected in a battle. Starting with Version 1.3.0, it is usable and functions the same as it did in previous generations.

In Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, and Explorers of Time, Darkness and Sky, Luster Purge is a move with 14 base power, 88% accuracy, and 12 PP. The user attacks enemy in the front, possibly lowering their Special Defense by one stage.
