The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (2023 video game)

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is an upcoming 2023 survival horror game based on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise. It was developed by Sumo Nottingham and published by Gun Interactive. It features co-operative gameplay and player versus player (PvP) combat.[1][2] The game features Kane Hodder as Leatherface and as a stunt coordinator, as well as Troy Burgess, Scout Taylor-Compton, Kristina Klebe as Sissy, Dove Meir as Johnny, Hunter Smith and Sean Whalen.[3][4][5]

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on August 18, 2023, also releasing on Xbox Game Pass on the same day.[6][7][8][9] Before release, the game will have a technical test on May 25, 2023.[10][11]

Characters

The game features five different killers. Leatherface, the Cook, the Hitchhiker and two other family members new to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, Johnny and Sissy. The victims featured are Ana, Connie, Julie, Leland, and Sonny. The story of the game revolves around the victims searching for Maria Flores, the missing sister of Ana.[12][13][14]

Release

On May 11, 2023, it was announced that the developers of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre had started a YouTube channel with the name, "LoFi Leatherface". The channel used animation and artwork created by Matt Hubel alongside the audio of lo-fi music.[15]
