List of Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger characters
This is a list of characters for Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger, a Japanese tokusatsu television drama. It is the fourth series in the franchise released in Japan's Reiwa Era and the 47th entry of Toei's long-running Super Sentai series produced by TV Asahi.

Main characters
Ohsama Sentai
The Ohsama Sentai (王様戦隊, Ōsama Sentai) are four monarchs and an orphaned prince from the planet Chikyu (チキュー, Chikyū)[lower-alpha 1] chosen by the Ohger Calibur (オージャカリバー, Ōja Karibā) sword to rule their respective kingdoms and the symbol of authority of their current monarchs which they can use to transform via Royal Armament (王鎧武装, Ōgai Busō). Each of them carries a Kings Weapon (キングズウエポン, Kinguzu Uepon) shield, which can change into one of five different forms depending on the user's fighting style, and is equipped with the Kings Hotline (キングズホットライン, Kinguzu Hottorain), a smartphone that doubles as their belt buckle, and the Ohger Holder (オージャホルダー, Ōja Horudā), a scabbard for the Ohger Calibur.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
Gira Husty
Gira Husty (ギラ・ハスティー, Gira Hasutī)[lower-alpha 2] is the crown prince and heir to the throne of Shugoddam (シュゴッダム, Shugoddamu), an industrious kingdom and the strongest and oldest of the five kingdoms where the Shugods were created. At some point during his childhood, he became separated from his older brother Racules, was taken in by an orphanage where he subsequently grew up, and lost most of his memories of being royalty. Upon learning Racules put his ambitions before his subjects' well-being amidst Bugnarak's return in the present, Gira steals his Ohger Calibur and creates a public persona of the "evil king" (邪悪の王, Jaaku no Ō) of Shugoddam so he can depose his brother.[8][4][9]
Gira can transform into the red-colored Kuwagata Ohger (クワガタオージャー, Kuwagata Ōjā) and uses his Kings Weapon in Sword Mode (剣モード, Ken Mōdo), which has an alternate double-bladed Naginata Mode (薙刀モード, Naginata Mōdo) that can be accessed by combining with the Ohger Calibur. He also possesses the King Speeder (キングスピーダー, Kingu Supīdā) hoverbike.[1][8][10][3][4][5]
Gira Husty is portrayed by Taisei Sakai (酒井 大成, Sakai Taisei).[11][8] As a child, Gira is portrayed by Sanetoshi Ariyama (有山 実俊, Ariyama Sanetoshi).
Yanma Gast
Yanma Gast (ヤンマ・ガスト, Yanma Gasuto) is a genius engineer and president of the technological kingdom of Nkosopa (ンコソパ) who is based at Peta Castle (ペタ城, Peta-jō). He was born in the slums and orphaned at a young age, but achieved the position of president through his own efforts and intellect.[8][4][5][12]
Yanma can transform into the blue-colored Tombo Ohger (トンボオージャー, Tonbo Ōjā) and uses his Kings Weapon in Gun Mode (銃モード, Jū Mōdo).[1][8][13][3][5]
Yanma Gast is portrayed by Aoto Watanabe (渡辺 碧斗, Watanabe Aoto).[11][8]
Hymeno Ran
Hymeno Ran (ヒメノ・ラン, Himeno Ran) is a doctor and queen of Ishabana (イシャバーナ, Ishabāna), a kingdom known for its advanced arts and medicine, who is based at Floputal Castle (フラピュタル城, Furapyutaru-jō).[8][4][14]
Hymeno can transform into the yellow-colored Kamakiri Ohger (カマキリオージャー, Kamakiri Ōjā) and uses her Kings Weapon in Sickle Mode (鎌モード, Kama Mōdo).[1][8][15][3][4]
Hymeno Ran is portrayed by Erica Murakami (村上 愛花, Murakami Erika).[11][8] As a child, Hymeno is portrayed by Melody Anderson (アンダーソン・メロディー, Andāson Merodī).
Rita Kaniska
Rita Kaniska (リタ・カニスカ, Rita Kanisuka) is the gender-neutral ruler and Chief Justice of the snowy kingdom and penal colony of Gokkan (ゴッカン) who is based at Zaiban Castle (ザイバーン城, Zaibān-jō), where those who are accused of international crimes are judged and imprisoned, regardless of country or status.[8][4][9]
Rita can transform into the violet-colored Papillon Ohger (パピヨンオージャー, Papiyon Ōjā) and uses their Kings Weapon in Bow Mode (弓モード, Yumi Mōdo).[1][8][16][3][4]
Rita Kaniska is portrayed by Yuzuki Hirakawa (平川 結月, Hirakawa Yuzuki).[11][8]
Kaguragi Dybowski
Kaguragi Dybowski (カグラギ・ディボウスキ, Kaguragi Dibōsuki) is the lord of the agricultural kingdom of Toufu (トウフ, Tōfu) who is based at Takitate Castle (タキタテ城, Takitate-jō).[8][4]
Kaguragi can transform into the black-colored Hachi Ohger (ハチオージャー, Hachi Ōjā) and uses his Kings Weapon in Claw Mode (爪モード, Tsume Mōdo).[1][8][17][3][4]
Kaguragi Dybowski is portrayed by So Kaku (佳久 創, Kaku Sō).[11][8]
Jeremy Brasieri
Jeremy Brasieri (ジェラミー・ブラシエリ, Jeramī Burashieri) is a descendant of an ally of the original Ohsama Sentai and a historian of their activities, claiming himself to be king of all of Chikyu. He exploits the Bugnarak by pretending to aid them in secret to steal the Three Great Guardian Deities' Shugod Souls so he can break the seal on the iron mask he was forced to wear, transforming it into a dagger.[18]
Jeremy Brasieri is portrayed by Masashi Ikeda (池田 匡志, Ikeda Masashi), who also serves as the narrator for the series.[19]
Shugods
The Shugods (シュゴッド, Shugoddo)[lower-alpha 3] are giant insectoid, mechanical deities who protect the five kingdoms and are powered by the Shugod Soul (シュゴッドソウル, Shugoddo Sōru) stones. The main Shugods are personally owned by the Ohsama Sentai, whose suits are themed after them, while the auxiliary Shugods can combine with the former to form King-Ohger and its alternate forms.[1][20][4]
- God Kuwagata (ゴッドクワガタ, Goddo Kuwagata): Kuwagata Ohger's personal stag beetle-themed Shugod nicknamed "Kuwagon" (クワゴン) by Gira.[1][20][4]
- God Kuwagata Zero (ゴッドクワガタZERO, Goddo Kuwagata Zero): Ohkuwagata Ohger's personal stag beetle-themed Shugod.[7]
- God Tombo (ゴッドトンボ, Goddo Tonbo): Tombo Ohger's personal dragonfly-themed Shugod.[1][20][4]
- God Kamakiri (ゴッドカマキリ, Goddo Kamakiri): Kamakiri Ohger's personal mantis-themed Shugod.[1][20][4]
- God Papillon (ゴッドパピヨン, Goddo Papiyon): Papillon Ohger's personal butterfly-themed Shugod.[1][20][4]
- God Hachi (ゴッドハチ, Goddo Hachi): Hachi Ohger's personal hornet-themed Shugod.[1][20][4]
- God Tentou (ゴッドテントウ, Goddo Tentō): A pair of ladybug-themed auxiliary Shugods.[1][20][4]
- God Kumo (ゴッドクモ, Goddo Kumo): A pair of spider-themed auxiliary Shugods.[1][20][4]
- God Ant (ゴッドアント, Goddo Anto): An ant-themed auxiliary Shugod.[1][20][4]
- Three Great Guardian Deities (三大守護神, San Dai Shugoshin): A trio of auxiliary Shugods.
- God Kabuto (ゴッドカブト, Goddo Kabuto): A Japanese rhinoceros beetle-themed Shugod nicknamed "Kabutan" (カブタン) by Gira that can change into the right arm-mounted Kabuto Cannon (カブトキャノン, Kabuto Kyanon).[20][21]
- God Scorpion (ゴッドスコーピオン, Goddo Sukōpion): A scorpion-themed Shugod nicknamed "Sasorine" (サソリーヌ, Sasorīnu) and "Scopi" (すこピ, Sukopi) by Gira and Hymeno, respectively, that can change into the left arm-mounted Scorpion Claw (スコーピオンクロー, Sukōpion Kurō).[7][12]
- God Hopper (ゴッドホッパー, Goddo Hoppā): A grasshopper-themed Shugod nicknamed "Batta" (バッタ) by Gira that can change into the chest/leg-mounted Hopper Armor (ホッパーアーマー, Hoppā Āmā).[22]
Guardian Weapons
The Guardian Weapons (ガーディアンウエポン, Gādian Uepon) are a sub-series of Shugods that can change into weapons for King-Ohger to use in battle.[5]
- Guardian Rolling (ガーディアンローリング, Gādian Rōringu): A pill bug-themed Guardian Weapon that can change into the Rolling Hammer (ローリングハンマー, Rōringu Hanmā) flail.[23][5]
- Guardian Snail (ガーディアンスネイル, Gādian Suneiru): A snail-themed Guardian Weapon that can change into the Snail Gatling (スネイルガトリング, Suneiru Gatoringu) rotary gun.[24][14]
King-Ohger
King-Ohger (キングオージャー, Kinguōjā) is the Ohsama Sentai's giant robot composed of Gods Kuwagata, Tombo, Kamakiri, Papillon, Hachi, Tentou, Kumo, and Ant that is armed with the Shugod Sword (シュゴッドソード, Shugoddo Sōdo).[1][20][4] It first appears in Avataro Sentai Donbrothers episode 45.[25]
- Don King-Ohger (ドンキングオージャー, Don Kinguōjā): A special combination consisting of King-Ohger and Don Robotaro that appears exclusively in Avataro Sentai Donbrothers episode 45.
- Kabuto King-Ohger (カブトキングオージャー, Kabuto Kinguōjā): The combination of King-Ohger and the Kabuto Cannon.[20][21]
- Scorpion King-Ohger (スコーピオンキングオージャー, Sukōpion Kinguōjā): The combination of King-Ohger and the Scorpion Claw.[12]
- Hopper King-Ohger (ホッパーキングオージャー, Hoppā Kinguōjā): The combination of King-Ohger and the Hopper Armor.[22]
- Legend King-Ohger (レジェンドキングオージャー, Rejendo Kinguōjā): The combination of King-Ohger and the Three Great Guardian Deities.[26]
- King-Ohger (God Kuwagata Zero Ver.): An alternate combination with God Kuwagata Zero replacing God Kuwagata.[7]
Recurring characters
Racules Husty
Racules Husty (ラクレス・ハスティー, Rakuresu Hasutī) is the official and tyrannical king of Shugoddam and older brother of Gira who is based at Caucasus Kabuto Castle (コーカサスカブト城, Kōkasasu Kabuto-jō) and aims to dominate the other four kingdoms at any cost to unify the world.[8][4]
Using a prototype of the Ohger Calibur called the Ohger Calibur Zero (オージャカリバーZERO, Ōja Karibā Zero), which only those of the Husty bloodline can wield, Racules can transform into the silver-colored Ohkuwagata Ohger (オオクワガタオージャー, Ōkuwagata Ōjā).[27]
Racules Husty is portrayed by Masato Yano (矢野 聖人, Yano Masato).[11][8] As a teenager, Racules is portrayed by Yu Fujii (藤井 優, Fujii Yū).
Bugnarak
The Underground Empire Bugnarak (地帝国バグナラク, Chiteikoku Bagunaraku) is a race of humanoid arthropods that reside in the tunnel system beneath Chikyu. They tried to conquer Chikyu 2000 years ago, but were defeated and driven underground by Legend King-Ohger. They return in the present time for a second invasion, but were initially manipulated by Jeremy Brasieri into acquiring the Three Great Guardian Deities for him.[4][18]
Desnarak VIII
Abyss Emperor Desnarak VIII (奈落王デズナラク8世, Narakuō Dezunaraku Hassei) is the earthworm-themed leader of Bugnarak who seeks to obtain the Three Great Guardian Deities and exterminate all humans so the Bugnarak can rule unopposed.
Desnarak VIII is voiced by Tomoyuki Shimura (志村 知幸, Shimura Tomoyuki).[11]
Kamejim
Prime Minister Kamejim (宰相カメジム, Saishō Kamejimu) is the stink bug-themed prime minister of Bugnarak who created the Kaijim based on his research on the Shugods.
Kamejim is voiced by Shin-ichiro Miki (三木 眞一郎, Miki Shin'ichiro).[11]
Sanagims
The Sanagims (サナギム, Sanagimu) are Bugnarak's pupa-themed foot soldiers armed with Gun Shovel (ガンショベル, Gan Shoberu) spades and possess the ability to enlarge themselves.[4]
Kaijims
The Kaijims (怪ジーム, Kaijīmu) are Bugnarak's monsters created by Kamejim based on his research of the Shugods. They also have the ability to enlarge.
- Danjim (ダンジーム, Danjīmu): A pill bug-themed monster. It is destroyed by King-Ohger.[4]
- Bodarujim (ボダルジーム, Bodarujīmu): A firefly-themed monster. It is destroyed by King-Ohger.[5] Voiced by Naoyuki Shimozuru (下鶴 直幸, Shimozuru Naoyuki).
- Funjim (フンジーム, Funjīmu): A dung beetle-themed monster. It is destroyed by King-Ohger.[14] Voiced by Ryuzou Ishino (石野 竜三, Ishino Ryūzō).
- Tanijim (タニジーム, Tanijīmu): A river snail-themed monster. It is destroyed by Kabuto King-Ohger.[21]
- Jigokujim (ジゴクジーム, Jigokujīmu): An antlion-themed monster. It is destroyed by King-Ohger.[9] Voiced by Keikō Sakai (酒井 敬幸, Sakai Keikō).
- Gundajim (グンダジーム, Gundajīmu): An army ant-themed monster. It is destroyed by Scorpion King-Ohger.[12] Voiced by Bin Shimada (島田 敏, Shimada Bin).
- Geroujim (ゲロウジーム, Gerōjīmu): A mayfly-themed monster. It is destroyed by God Hopper.[27] Voiced by Tomokazu Seki (関 智一, Seki Tomokazu).
- Des-Danjim (デズダンジーム, Dezu Danjīmu): An enhanced version of Danjim. It is destroyed by Legend King-Ohger.[26]
- Des-Bodarujim (デズボダルジーム, Dezu Bodarujīmu): An enhanced version of Bodarujim. It is destroyed by Legend King-Ohger.[26]
- Des-Funjim (デズフンジーム, Dezu Funjīmu): An enhanced version of Funjim. It is destroyed by Legend King-Ohger.[26]
- Des-Tanijim (デズタニジーム, Dezu Tanijīmu): An enhanced version of Tanijim. It is destroyed by Legend King-Ohger.[26]
- Des-Jigokujim (デズジゴクジーム, Dezu Jigokujīmu): An enhanced version of Jigokujim. It is destroyed by Legend King-Ohger.[26]
- Nagabajim (ナガバジーム, Nagabajīmu): A parasitoid wasp-themed monster. It is destroyed by Legend King-Ohger.[18] Voiced by Rikako Aikawa (愛河 里花子, Aikawa Rikako).
Other Kaijims
- Shidejim (シデジーム, Shidejīmu): A carrion beetle-themed monster who poses as a scientist named Vedalia (ベダリア, Bedaria), whom Racules recruited and later killed, and appears exclusively in the web-exclusive series Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger: The Secrets of King Racules.[28] Shidejim is voiced by Tsubasa Yonaga (代永 翼, Yonaga Tsubasa) while her Vedalia disguise is portrayed by Ami Tomite (冨手 麻妙, Tomite Ami).

- Duga (ドゥーガ, Dūga) and Bocimar (ボシマール, Boshimāru): Aides to Racules Husty, portrayed by Yutaka Morioka (森岡 豊, Morioka Yutaka) and Jubun Fukuzawa (福澤 重文, Fukuzawa Jūbun) respectively.[29][4]
- Shiokara (シオカラ): An aide to Yanma Gast, portrayed by Yuhei Chiwata (千綿 勇平, Chiwata Yūhei).[29][4]

- Kogane (コガネ) and Bun (ブーン, Būn): Orphans who live at an orphanage in Shugoddam and Gira's friends, portrayed by Anna Hoshino (星乃 あんな, Hoshino An'na) and Minato Kiso (木曽 源, Kiso Minato) respectively.[29][4]
- Akka (アッカ), Usuba (ウスバ), and Mayuta (マユタ): Citizens of Nkosopa,[29][5] portrayed by Hokuto Minami (南 北斗, Minami Hokuto), Kaito Okano (岡野 海斗, Okano Kaito) and Nagisa Hayakawa (早川 渚紗, Hayakawa Nagisa) respectively.
- Hymeno Ran's parents: The previous king and queen of Ishabana who were assassinated by a mysterious hooded man controlling the cicada-themed Shugod swarm during the "Wrath of God" incident fifteen years prior.[12] They are portrayed by Kraus (クラウス, Kurausu) and Alisa Durbrow (ダーブロウ 有紗, Dāburō Arisa) respectively.

- Kofuki (コフキ): Vedalia's assistant who appears exclusively in the web-exclusive series Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger: The Secrets of King Racules,[28] portrayed by Kaisei Kawano (川野 快晴, Kawano Kaisei).
