Sharpen (Japanese: かくばる Improve Angles) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation I. Prior to Generation V, it was the signature move of Porygon.

Effect

Generations I to VII

Sharpen increases the user's Attack stat by one stage.

If powered up by a Normalium Z into Z-Sharpen, the user's Attack rises by another stage.

Generation VIII

Sharpen cannot be selected in a battle.

StadStad2 Raises the user's Attack power. The edges of the Pokémon are made harder for more impact.
GSC A move that raises the user's Attack.
RSEColo.XD Reduces the polygon count and raises Attack.
FRLG The user reduces its polygon count to sharpen edges and raise Attack.

BWB2W2		 The user reduces its polygon count to make itself more jagged, raising the Attack stat.
XYORAS The user lowers its polygon count to make itself more jagged, raising the Attack stat.
SMUSUMPE The user makes its edges more jagged, which raises its Attack stat.
SwSh This move can't be used. It's recommended that this move is forgotten. Once forgotten, this move can't be remembered.
