The original footage of this opening was not used in later airings as Mediaset, the company in charge of the Italian dub at the time, lost it. In Mediaset reruns of these episodes, footage from Pokémon: The Master Quest is used.
The opening animation for the sixth season featured footage from the sixth English opening, I Wanna Be a Hero; the opening animation for the seventh season featured footage from the seventh English opening, This Dream.
It is sung by Giorgio Vanni and Cristina D'Avena.
