It evolves from Dottler starting at level 30. It is the final form of Blipbug.
Orbeetle has a Gigantamax form.
Biology
Orbeetle is a beetle-like Pokémon with a large head that resembles the body of a ladybug. The shell is red with seven black spots and a black underside. Its face is black and white with yellow antennae that resemble eyebrows and blue eyes with white rings. Its actual body is much smaller. It is mostly black with thin limbs and sharp yellow legs. Its arms have two claws and its feet are pointed.
Orbeetle are famous for their large brains and high intelligence. Its large brain is proof of the immense psychic power it possesses. Orbeetle emits its psychic powers to study and observe its surroundings, including objects over six miles away. Because of their power, Orbeetle rarely use their wings to fly, but use their psychic powers to lift their entire bodies, much like Alakazam.
As Gigantamax Orbeetle, its body and brain drastically increase in size to resemble a flying saucer. Its wings disappear when in this form. The black spot on its head changes to become blue with white rings. Underneath the brain is five yellow half-orbs, each having three blue rings that split the orb into three, with a fourth black circle underneath it. At the center is a blue half-orb connected by nine blue lines. The orb shines a bright light that can move around similar to a flying saucer. Three red clouds float underneath the blue orb. The rest of Orbeetle's body is infused into a black orb with blue lines. These lines connect to blue half circles which are connected to the head, arms, and legs.
As a result of Gigantamaxing, its psychic power and intelligence have become overwhelming. Should Gigantamax Orbeetle use a slight bit of power it has, it can control the minds of every living being within the vicinity.
Gigantamax Orbeetle is the only known Pokémon capable of using the exclusive G-Max Move G-Max Gravitas.

Trivia
- No Pokémon have the same type combination as Orbeetle and its pre-evolution.
- Gigantamax Orbeetle and Gigantamax Corviknight are tied for the shortest of all Gigantamax forms, at roughly 45'11".
- Orbeetle and its pre-evolution are the only Psychic-type Pokémon in the Bug Egg Group.
Origin
Orbeetle seems to be based on a ladybug, specifically Coccinella septempunctata. Given its high-level intellect, enlarged brain, and use of hypnotism and mind control, it could also be inspired by a stereotypical intelligent alien or "mad scientist" antagonist from popular science fiction.
The mind control specifically could be a connection to the Dinocampus coccinellae, a wasp endemic to the British Isles - the region of which Galar is based - that lays eggs on ladybugs who then become the eggs' bodyguard. As the ladybugs usually do not attempt to remove the egg sack and even actively protect it, they are often compared to "zombies" in many studies, which is in turn a metaphor for mindless drones subject to the wasp's brainwashing. Additionally, this wasp has bright blue-green eyes and a thin body, like Orbeetle but unlike ladybugs.
Orbeetle's Gigantamax form may be based on common depictions of UFOs.
Name origin
Orbeetle may be a combination of orb, orbit, orbital, and lady beetle.
Eolb may be a combination of eol (Irish for knowledge) or Io and orb.
