In all duels against him, the Small Bench (Japanese: せまいベンチ) rule is active, thus no more than three Benched Pokémon are allowed at any time.

When defeated, he gives out one Team Rocket's Ambition booster pack. Also, when defeated for the first time, he lets the player advance to the next room, allowing the player to reach Kanoko, the Fort Leader of GR Water Fort.
