The Genesect Army's personal connection to the Panna Lotus flowers originally attracted them to New Tork City's Pokémon Hills. Eric later explained that he transplanted the 300 million-year-old flowers to Pokémon Hills from Absentia Natural Park. In the end, Ash, his friends, and Eric drove to the location and helped the Genesect Army relocate to the park due to their attachment to the Panna Lotuses.

Absentia Natural Park is a water-filled canyon surrounded by pine forests. It proved to be a perfectly isolated environment for the Genesect to thrive, and they quickly set up a nest.
