Halyna Shabshai

Halyna Shabshai, (Ukrainian: Галина Шабшай, born 25 December 1980) is a psychologist,[1] Ukrainian and Israeli writer, expert in integrative psychotherapy.[2] Her activities are aimed at developing a person's potential and assisting in solving psychological problems.[3][4][5][6]

Early life and education

Shabshai was educated at the Donetsk State Prokofiev Music Academy and graduated from the School of Business and Entrepreneurship in Donetsk, Ukraine.[7][8] Since 2016, Shabshai has been a research correspondent at the G.S. Kostiuk Institute of Psychology[9] of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine.[10][11]

Shabshai completed the international "Internship Program in Psychology: Competitiveness, Technology, and Innovation Specialists: UK Frameworks in Education and Science" on August 2022.[12][13]

Scientific activities

Shabshai is a member of the Academy of Psychological Sciences of Ukraine since 2017, the Society of Psychologists of Ukraine since May 2018,[10] member of the American Psychological Association since 2022[14] and a member of Association of Neuropsychologists of Ukraine since 2023.[12]

Since 2020, Shabshai has been conducting research on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on people's mental health, developing methods for preventing crisis-related mental disorders.[10]

Her most recent scholarly paper is Monograph "Integrative Psychotherapy and Proactive Coaching of the Person-Business-Family System in the Modality of Personal Source Code".[2] In the process of writing the monograph, Peter Saville and Don Edward Beck were enlisted as consultants and highlighted the significance of the research and methodology presented in the monograph.[15][16] Peter Saville is an expert in psychometrics, Don Beck is an authority in the field of Spiral Dynamics and cultural evolution. In 2022, based on the results of the research presented in the monograph, the book "Personal Source Code" was published.[3] Also during the research activities at G.S. Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Shabshai wrote and published several books: Emotional Burnout, EQ killer, Emotional intelligence in sales.[10][2]

  • Was a speaker at "III International Conference on Fundamental and Applied Issues of Cognitive-Behavioral Sciences" held on March 2017, where she presented a paper on the latest developments in cognitive styles of Individuality.[17]
  • Participated in the international conference "Psychooncology-2019" held on September 2019, in Kyiv, Ukraine.
  • Was a speaker at the international scientific and practical seminar on "Clinical Psychodiagnostics: Measurement, Operationalization, Supervision" held on June 2021, where she presented her research on clinical psychodiagnostics.[18]
  • Participated in the international conference "Cognitive neuroscience and Clinical Neuropsychology: The Beginning of a New Path in Ukraine" held on July 2022, where she played an active role in discussions on the latest developments in cognitive neuroscience and clinical neuropsychology.
  • Was a speaker at the international event "World Mental Health Day 2022" held on October 2022.[19]

Business activities

Shabshai has founded and managed several companies in the fields of business consulting, psychology, and psychotherapy.[5][20][21][22] Shabshai is also a writer and has authored several business blogs.[23][24]

In 2003, she founded the Cultural and Educational Center, a nonprofit organization that developed techniques in psychology, psychotherapy, and theatre.[10][8]

In 2013, she and her husband created and patented the "Shabshai System" for increasing the coefficient of personal efficiency.[10]

In 2017, Shabshai and her husband opened Shabshai SPA Retreat Center in Spain, on the Costa Brava. The center was created to test techniques in psychotherapy, psychology, philosophy, and the mathematics of consciousness.[25]

In 2019, Shabshai founded Shabshai Castle in Spain, a business and family tour agency.[26][27]

In 2019, she and her partners founded Shabshai Technology in the United States. The company is engaged in research and commercial activities in the field of integral psychotherapy. The company's areas of research and method development include professional and emotional well-being, methods for developing emotional intelligence, and improving cognitive performance.[10]

Awards and recognition

Shabshai is recommended by the Association of Andrologists as a consultant in the field of family and psychological care. In 2022, she was awarded the Diploma Word order cultural diplomacy and the Order of Word order cultural diplomacy for her contributions in the field of cultural diplomacy.[28][29]

Personal life

Shabshai is married to Iefym Shabshai, a scientist, futurologist, writer, coach, actor, and director. The couple has two daughters.[7]
