English cricket team in the West Indies in 1973–74

The England national cricket team toured the West Indies from January to April 1974 and played a five-match Test series against the West Indies cricket team which was drawn 1–1. England were captained by Mike Denness; the West Indies by Rohan Kanhai.[1]

  • This would prove the last Test played by England in Georgetown until 1993–94. Due to the refusal of the Guyanese Government to admit Robin Jackman the 1980–81 Test there would be canceled,[2] no tour of Guyana would be scheduled in 1985–86,[3] and then the 1989–90 Test would be abandoned without a ball bowled.
