2023 Rhode Island's 1st congressional district special election

The 2023 Rhode Island's 1st congressional district special election is an upcoming special election. The seat is expected to become vacant following incumbent Democratic representative David Cicilline's announcement that he plans to resign on June 1, 2023, to become the president and CEO of the Rhode Island Foundation.[1] Primaries will be held September 5, and the general election will be held November 7.[2]
