Release information

This card was included in the Battle Styles expansion, first released in the Japanese Single Strike Master expansion. In Japan, it was reprinted as a Holofoil S-P Promotional card and was one of the cards participants received upon entry into the 2022 Kyoto Champion's League, held at the Kyoto Pulse Plaza on October 3, 2021. A Twitter campaign also ran during the livestream of the tournament, which required people wishing to enter to follow the accounts of ponyta ishii, raichumkw, and nanapuru, all of whom appear on the official Pokémon Card Channel, and tweet with the hashtag #ポケカCL2022京都, Pokéka CL2022 Kyoto. Twenty people selected by lottery won a copy of this card and a random copy of one of the eight promotional Energy cards available at the event. This print features the Championship Series 2022 logo in the bottom left corner of the illustration. It was reprinted again in the Japanese Start Deck 100 and could be obtained as both a Non Holofoil card and as a Mirror Holofoil card in different decks.
