This card was included in the Crimson Invasion expansion with artwork by Shin Nagasawa, first released in the Japanese Awakened Heroes expansion. A SM Black Star Promotional print of this card was one of the Prerelease promos for Crimson Invasion with different artwork by the same artist, available in the Crimson Invasion Prerelease Kit. A print with a gold foil "Staff" stamp was given to those overseeing the event. A Non Holo version of the in-set print was included in the Destruction Fang Theme Deck, and again in the Twilight Rogue Theme Deck.

Nasty Plot is a move in the Pokémon games that Salazzle can learn. Severe Poison is an attack that first appeared on Unleashed Crobat. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Sun.
