Release information

This card was included as both a Regular card and a Full Art card in the Cosmic Eclipse expansion, first released in the Japanese Alter Genesis expansion. The Regular print features artwork by Ken Sugimori, while the Full Art print features artwork by kirisAki.

In Japan, a Mirror Holofoil S-P Promotional version of the Regular print was made available in the second phase of the "Have Fun. Spring, Pokémon Card" campaign, which was set up in response to events that had been canceled in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. From April 17, 2020, customers who purchased more than ¥1,500 worth of eligible Pokémon TCG products at participating Pokémon Card Gym stores received 1 of 3 Tag Team Supporter cards at random. All visitors to participating stores were also given a "Have Fun. Spring, Pokémon Card" sticker. The campaign ran for as long as stocks lasted. Stores that closed following the state of emergency that came into effect on April 8, 2020 resumed the campaign after the lockdown ended; stores that were able continued the campaign online. Although released during the Sword & Shield Era, this print retains its original Sun & Moon Era layout and also has a gold foil Pokémon Card Gym stamp in the bottom right corner of the artwork.

Trivia

Origin

Mallow is the Trial Captain of Akala Island's Lush Jungle in the Pokémon games, while Lana is the Trial Captain of Brooklet Hill. The pair are met together in Lush Jungle during Mina's trial in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. The pairing could also be a reference to Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon of the anime, where both are Ash's classmates at the Pokémon School, and are especially close with each other.
