Koga's K.O. Krew (TCG)

Koga's K.O. Krew is a type deck found in the Gym Challenge Strategy Guide. The deck is classified as one of the "hard-core" decks in the book, containing more rare cards than the easy-to-build decks.

Description

Koga is a martial arts master who's ready for any fight! Koga has collected a group of Pokémon that are really good at poisoning Defending Pokémon. Koga's Kakuna can even "doubly poison" a Defending Pokémon, making it take 20 damage per turn instead of the usual 10 damage from Poison. You can also use the Koga Trainer card and any attack that does damage to automatically Poison the Defending Pokémon.

Your opponents will want to retreat their Poisoned Pokémon, so this deck uses Energy Removal and Super Energy Removal to make it that much harder for your opponent to retreat his or her Pokémon. Koga's Muk's Pokémon Power adds to the Energy Removal strategy because it can make attacking Pokémon discard Energy. Finally, use Professor Oak and Bill to draw all of the cards you need. If you like Poison, then you'll have a lot of fun using Koga and his Krew.
