Giovanni (GO)/Pokémon change history
Giovanni use teams of three Shadow Pokémon in a Trainer Battle, each independently and randomly selected from separate pools. Green-colored cells denote the Pokémon that may possibly be encountered during the bonus challenge.

Due to a bug in game, Team GO Rocket battles including Giovanni encounters were disabled from April 9, 2021[1] to April 22, 2021.[2] Shadow Zapdos had been rescheduled from June 1, 2021, 12 a.m. to June 17, 2021, 12 a.m. local time to make up for the time Team GO Rocket battles were disabled in April 2021.[3]
