This card was included in the Vivid Voltage expansion with artwork by Shigenori Negishi, first released in the Japanese Amazing Volt Tackle expansion. It was reprinted in the Japanese VMAX Climax subset alongside a Secret Full Art print with artwork by Megumi Higuchi.

Spooky Shot is an attack that first appeared on Misdreavus and Mismagius from Legendary Treasures. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Sword. Morty is featured in the VMAX Climax Full Art print's illustration, who uses a Dusknoir when challenged to a rematch in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver.
