Release information
This card was included as both a Regular card and a Full Art card in the English Boundaries Crossed expansion, first released in the Japanese Freeze Bolt expansion. The Regular print features artwork by Eske Yoshinob, while the Full Art print features artwork by 5ban Graphics. This card was later reprinted as one of the BW Black Star Promos with new artwork by Eske Yoshinob and was included in the EX Power Tins released in March 2013. The original Regular print was reprinted in the English Legendary Treasures expansion, originating from the Japanese EX Battle Boost. A Sheen Holofoil variant of the Regular Boundaries Crossed print was later included in the Battle Arena Decks: Black Kyurem vs. White Kyurem, released June 16, 2017.

Dragon Fang is a held item in the Pokémon games that boosts the power of the Dragon-type moves. Freeze Shock is a move in the Pokémon games that Kyurem can learn. Freeze Shock's Japanese name is that of Freeze Bolt, the Japanese expansion in which Black Kyurem-EX was released. This card features the Black Kyurem Forme of Kyurem.
